Since 2012, I've been fortunate to design for entrepreneurs, startups, and SaaS companies worldwide! By using data, design frameworks, and applying design principles, I'm able to deliver impactful solutions quickly, not just pretty pixels, for web or mobile apps. The goal is to solve business problems, meet users' needs, satisfy KPIs, and hit the market niche. Do you like this approach? Let's design next big thing together.

Hi, I'm David

I'm a passionate, self-taught digital product designer currently living in Brno, Czechia. Over the last ten years, I have worked in various roles including Graphic Designer, Web Designer, Web Developer, UX/UI Designer, and Product Designer for startups, corporations, and as a freelancer for my own clients. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable expertise in diverse fields, such as marketing, front-end development, product management, and building products from scratch.

Traveling, spending time with friends, adrenaline sports, and adventures are the hobbies from which I gain energy and inspiration.

How I design products

  • Repeat

01. Research

Designing without data is like driving without brakes. You can handle it, but it's risky. Therefore, the most crucial step is to know as much as possible about the problem/task and user needs. Let's gather at least quantitative data from available analytics or, ideally, let's have a regular discovery habit, which would be even better.

Therefore, I will dig deep to discover what your customers are truly looking for. Together, we can decide on the next steps. By gathering both quantitative and qualitative data, we can better understand the problem and make more informed decisions during the design process.

02. Design

We need to collaborate and create a plan for the new feature or product. This requires alignment between the Product Manager, Architect, Dev Lead, and myself. My role will be to gather information from research, create a design brief, and produce design sketches. I will then quickly transfer these sketches into high-fidelity prototypes or design increments, taking weeks rather than months.

The result? Together, we can view an interactive prototype that is designed to deliver real value to our customers. Afterward, we will be prepared for user testing to gain insight from users.

03. Test

Even the best solution needs to be tested to ensure that it will truly bring value to your customers. I will prepare the test plan and scenarios, set up analytics for testing, and either I or your researchers will conduct the testing. I will attend user sessions and rapidly iterate on design based on feedback. Afterward, we will review the results together and decide whether any changes need to be made or if we are satisfied with the current design.

04. Implement

I will provide design guidelines for the front-end team and all other design sources to ensure they have everything they need. I will also monitor design during implementation, care about quality, and communicate any necessary changes. What's next? Even the best products need to evolve. Let's identify a new market niche and repeat this process again.
